A Walk in the Park offers a range of services to pet owners. As suggested by the name, dog walking is the mainstay of the business. Dogs are usually walked during the day whilst their owners are at work. I collect dogs from the owner’s home and can either walk directly from the house, or transport them by car to a good local walking site. Here in Ayrshire we are blessed by an abundance of great places to walk dogs from beaches to hillsides to woodland – your dog will never get bored with the same old walk!
Most of the walks take place in small groups and the dogs love having company out on their walks. However if your dog needs or prefers to be walked alone then I can accommodate that too. I never take out more dogs than I’m sure I can safely manage at any given time, and all dogs are cared for as if they were my own.
An alternative to kennels, home boarding is becoming an increasingly popular option for people going on holiday. Your dog would be looked after in my home as part of my family while you were away. I hold the required licence from South Ayrshire Council.
I can also offer a pop-in pet visiting service. This service is ideal for dogs and puppies who need toilet breaks throughout the day, or if you are away for a few days and need someone to feed the cat, check on your home and care for any small animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters etc. While you are away I am also happy to undertake any other tasks like watering plants, putting out and bringing in your wheelie bin etc.
I haven’t been asked (yet) to care for any larger animals such as horses but I do have equine experience – please feel free to enquire.
I offer a free, no obligation consultation visit where I meet you and your pets to discuss the available options. To book a consultation please call 07507 436513.
